... And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God. Begotten of his Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of light, Very God of very God, Begotten, not made, Being of one substance with the Father, By whom all things were made:...

To us there is but one Lord Jesus Christ. 1  Cor.  viii.  6  We beheld his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man ? and the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.  Luke  i.  26, 27, 30, 31, 34, 35  There is one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.  1  Tim.  ii.  5  Since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  1  Cor.  xv  21  Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God; and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God.  1 John  iv.  2, 3.

... And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
